Mathew K. Titus is a native of Emporia, Kansas. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Speech Communication. While at Baylor, Mathew was inducted into the honor society, Phi Beta Kappa. Mathew received his Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law. While in law school, Mathew concurrently received a Master’s degree in Theological Studies. In law school Mathew excelled at trial practice. Mathew was a finalist in several national Mock Trial competitions, and received a rank of Highest Distinction while attending the Emory Trial Techniques Program. Upon graduation, Mathew was inducted into the Order of Advocates for his demonstrated excellence in trial advocacy. Mathew was also given the Herman Dooyeweerd Scholar Award in Law and Religion, a selective graduation award given to students who demonstrate academic excellence.
Mathew’s legal work focuses on Corporate Civil Litigation, Personal Injury, Premises Liability, and Administrative Law. Mathew has been with Zimmerman & Associates since his graduation from Emory. Mathew recently presented his article, Getting it Right: The Proper Legal and Ethical Characterization of the Genetic Information Non-Discrimination Act, at the Hawaii International Conference on Arts and Humanities in January 2008. Mathew has also been a Consultant for Macon State University, assisting the University in designing a Master’s level course relating to legal ethics, business associations, and government contracting. Mathew is a member of the American Bar Association, Atlanta Bar Association, and is licensed to practice law in Georgia and North Carolina.
Mathew is married to Victoria, a graduate from Auburn University. Victoria currently works as a sales representative at Paycom. In his leisure time, Mathew enjoys spending time with Victoria, swimming, running, playing tennis, and attempting to play golf. Mathew and Victoria are regular attendees at Perimeter Church in Duluth, Georgia.
